Summer

6.6.25

It was good to see the children back in school after the half term break.

In science, we have been recapping our knowledge about plants. The plants around the school site are blooming and we have noticed some tiny conkers on the horse chestnut tree.

We are reading Scarlette Beane by Karen Wallace.

This week, The Dalmatians are celebrating a whole family! Lara, Noel and Benett have all been working so hard on Numbots!

May Day

We found out about traditional May Day celebrations and crowned our own May Queen who had two May Princesses to support her. We also chose a Jack In The Green who led our procession onto the playground.

The children really enjoyed dancing around the may pole.

In The Dalmatians, we celebrated the successes of Harper, Noah and Freddie who all worked hard on Numbots over the Easter holidays.

Ivan, Freddie and Benett received Numbots certificates on 2.5.25

29.4.25

We have had such an exciting week! We are learning about Neil Armstrong, so on Tuesday we held an astronaut training day. We had five missions to complete: physical challenges, scientific challenges, rocket launch, air powered rocket and comparing the mass of 'moon rocks'. The scientific challenges involved experiments using dry ice which were very exciting and the stomp rocket was a great success!

Welcome to the Summer Term!

It was lovely to see the children back in school today! They were excited to see their friends and to tell us about their Easter holidays.

The children got to work straight away and we are looking forward to an exciting and busy term's learning.
