Autumn

In our RE we are learning all about the Christmas Story! We are becoming experts about the Nativity as we learn about the events and practise them for our Christmas play!

This term we have been learning about the Great Fire of London! We have been doing some fantastic sentences in English about the events of the Great Fire of London. In History we have been looking at how the Great Fire of London started, where it spread too and what happened next!

WOW! We had a really enjoyable day at the Raptor Foundation. We spent the day learning all about owls, dissecting pellets and watching a flight display. We even managed to squeeze in a visit to the Reptile House too. Well done! You were all amazing today! 🦉

WOW! Time is flying and we having a great time getting to know each other. In English, we are all becoming more confident in knowing what a sentence needs to be great. We can all explain what a subject, noun and verb is too. In Maths, we are confidently counting in tens and using this knowledge to count large groups of objects by grouping them in to tens and ones. In Science, we have been learning all about living things and what they all have in common. We have looked closely at local habitats and what lives within them.

Welcome back to school and the start of Year 2!

We have had a great first few days back and we are all settling in nicely. In English, we have been learning all about nouns and verbs. We now know how to identify common and proper nouns. In Maths, we are getting to grips with multiples of 10 and how to add them, estimate where they would sit on a number line and how they can be represented in different ways.
