Our chicks are quite messy so today we had to clean them out and give them fresh sawdust.

Our chicks have hatched! We have got 3 babies and we're very excited. They are called Pumpkin, Pepper and Nutmeg.

Today was our Church Farm trip. We had so much fun!

Today was World Book Day. We read a book about a dragon.
Then we did mark making on 'dragons' eggs', coloured in dragon pictures, made the word 'dragon' from jumbled up letters, drew treasure maps and went on a treasure hunt; following the dragon footprints to find the treasure.

Today we had an exciting visit from a poet. we learnt a poem about a dog which had lots of actions and then we wrote our own poem together.
We also candled a couple of our eggs today. If you look closely you can see some veins.
This week we have been reading Handa's Surprise.
We tasted some of the fruit from the story - pineapple, mango, avocado, tangerine and passion fruit.

Today was very exciting because Sidney's mummy came in to help us set up our incubator so that we can hatch some chicks. It will take 21 days for the chicks to hatch.
