• Always be careful when you are using the internet. It can help you to keep in touch with your friends and help your education – but it can also cause harm – to you and to others.
• Remember help is always available at school if you are having any problems online.
• Don’t be afraid to talk to your teacher or another adult at school.

The Internet is an exciting tool to use!  At school, we talk a lot about online safety. 

Remember to keep yourself safe online:

• Don't give out personal information such as your full name, email address, phone number, photos or school name.
• If something online makes you uncomfortable, tell a responsible adult.
• If you or someone you know is being bullied online, tell a responsible adult.
• Don't open e-mails, files, or Web pages that you get from people you don't really know or trust.
• Don't share passwords with others.
• Follow rules and guidelines you are given for using the Internet.

It is useful for parents to be aware of the age limit restrictions on some social media platforms. These apps have age limits for a reason, and we strongly urge you to support us in avoiding the use of these apps at home.

Tips for staying safe online:

• Make sure you keep new online friends strictly online. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend you must ensure an adult knows about it.
